Let’s face it: unless you’re a homeowner who willingly embraces the inevitable challenges and countless obstacles that Tucson’s desert-like climate imposes on dedicated home gardeners, you may not get too excited when you see a blog that discusses the purpose of observing National Lawn and Garden Month in April. Don’t go away too quickly. The passionate floral design team at Casas Adobes Flower Shop is encouraging you to celebrate in a way that is better suited to Arizona’s weather extremes.
Spring is what it is in Arizona and other states where seasonal temperature fluctuations don’t limit the yearly growing season to a three or four month period – when and if you’re that lucky. That’s definitely an advantage during winter when we hear news reports that describe snowstorms that paralyze cities for days. The lack of cold winters makes it impossible for us to grow those.
Bring the outdoors in with a colorful and vibrant basket of the season’s most beautiful blooming plants. Fill your house with the happy colors found in our Blooming Garden Basket. The whimsical basket is the perfect vessel for an arrangement of pink, purple, yellow and other bright flowers. This simple, but elegant floral design is the ideal accent for a console table, an open shelf, a sideboard or buffet, or to add a decorative touch to a table in your screened in outdoor living space.
Our delightful Spring Blooms arrangement is filled with a combination of flowers that represent the epitome of a spectacular country cut flower garden. We chose pink roses, pink stargazer lilies, white hydrangeas, purple irises, pale pink Gerbera daisies, dark pink carnations, deep purple Gayfeather, blue larkspur, tiny pink wax flowers, and too much more to mention. We feel confident that anyone who lays eyes on this elegant floral design will be overcome with beautiful warm fuzzy feelings, just as we are.

If you’ve chosen a neutral palette of earthy colors as the basis for your home’s interior decor, you may want to think about celebrating spring with an infusion of the most vibrant, bold, and colorful flowers you can imagine. That’s what we sought to accomplish when we came up with the design for our Springtime Harmony arrangement. We combined the brightest yellow roses we could find with creamy white hydrangeas, dark pink mini carnations, darker pink mums, purple statice and much more. The short cube-shaped vase makes this an ideal coffee table centerpiece, or an elegant end table accent.
Fill your home with spring-inspired floral designs to show your support for National Lawn and Garden Month this April.
