The alarm clock goes off, and a day packed with appointments and responsibilities begins. As a society, we are busier – and have our lives scheduled – more than ever before. If you ever wished that you could escape for a few hours, break out of the mold, be a bit more spontaneous, then August 27 is your day! The whimsical “Just Because Day” gives us the opportunity to think outside the box, be creative, and do fun things for no reason at all.
Casas Adobes Flower Shop is ready to join in the fun, and wanted to share some of our favorite ideas on how to have a truly inspired day of making other people happy – just because!
- Give single flowers to the people you encounter each day – the barista at the coffee shop, the crossing guard at your child’s school, or the security guard at your office building.
- High five people at work and tell them they are doing a great job.
- Better yet, play hooky from work and go see that movie you have been dying to see – just because!
- Send a handwritten note to your mom or dad thanking them for everything.
- Let your kids eat dessert before dinner.
- Go say hello to your elderly neighbor and stay a while.
- Send flowers to someone who was influential in your life years ago, even if you haven’t spoken to them in years.
- Send flowers to yourself – just because!
Just Because Day gives you the opportunity to do unexpected things, without rhyme or reason. Take a painting lesson. Set aside the housework and catch up on your guilty pleasure TV show. Eat the ice cream right out of the container. Go for a long walk someplace you have never been.
Why? Just because you have always wanted to! Every day, we follow the rules, the schedules, and the routines. On August 27, we are invited to color outside the lines and step outside of the box. Whatever your perfect way to celebrate Just Because Day, don’t forget the flowers. For every occasion, or no occasion at all, flowers make life more beautiful.
Casas Adobes Flower Shop is happy to deliver the floral arrangements you need every day, throughout Tucson and Oro Valley.
