One of the divine things about the arrival of spring and the glorious haul of flowers that it provides is that everything smells fresh again. The flowers themselves contribute much to this condition, but not every bloom is created equal when it comes to scent. Some flowers just got luckier than others, like the rose, whose fragrance is the result of some 300 chemicals, only a handful of which give it that recognizable aroma. But every flower to one degree or another has a smell. We at Casas Adobes Flower Shop can attest to this.
There are some flower designs that are pretty, and there are others that are magnificent. What marks the difference between the two is often the combination of flowers used and the textural and visual appeal that can be coaxed from the contrast. But what also puts some designs into the realm of magnificent is the fact that they literally perfume the air with a scent like no other. Fragrant flowers in combination with each other and alongside flowers that don’t offer a scent make a rich bouquet even richer. Our Lovely Lilies & Lace piece is a great example.
The pink roses here will unfurl over time and release their fragrance, casting an enchanting scent throughout the space. The stock here too is just as fragrant—far more than just a pretty face. We believe a design like this is all you need to set the scene for spring, since it appeals to all the senses and will no doubt please them, too.
