We asked Shasta and Sarah to speak about how their moms have influenced their lives. Here are their Mother’s Day stories.  Web site administrator and customer service professional Shasta shares that she could talk for days about how wonderful her mom is. But to sum it up, she says, “the best part of my mom is that she has always been a really good listener, and she has the best advice whenever I’ve needed it. When I reflect on all the questions I have asked her over the years – some easy and some definitely awkward – I realize that she has helped me be the woman I am today.  She has really helped me to be the best mom I can be  – just like she is for me.”

Sarah, lead wedding consultant, credits her career and love of flowers to her mother’s legacy. “My mother helped foster my love of plants. She had tulips and daffodils that would come up every year, as well as a garden full of vegetables. But her favorite flowers were her pansies – so almost every Mother’s Day I get her a flat of pansies to enjoy and plant for the summer. After work each day, her favorite thing to do was go out and tend to her garden – it was her way to de-stress.  Now that I’ve got my own gardens, I find myself doing the same thing.”
