Three Tips On Flower Care
Want to know, once and for all, how to help your flowers and plants live better lives? Don’t worry, we here at Casas Adobes Flower Shop have some excellent tips on how to keep them fresher and happier for longer. If you follow our crib sheet, you’ll be on your way to becoming a flower care expert in no time. You’ll also be able to spread the knowledge to the people you most often send flowers to.
- Don’t be afraid to dunk! Hydrangeas and Gerbera daisies will re-hydrate if you submerge both the stem and the full bloom itself in water and leave it in there for 30 minutes or so. Certain flowers (like these two) love to go swimming, but most don’t.
- Never put your floral wearables (corsages and bouts) toward the back of the fridge because they may freeze. Instead, keep them toward the front or in the door if you are storing them overnight.
- Got a Phalaenopsis orchid? Put one ice cube on the roots once a week to give your plant a slow, steady stream of water without drowning it. If your orchid is sitting in water and the roots get too wet, it won’t last long.
