Grandparents Day was established in 1978, when Congress agreed to recognize it officially. The day, observed on the first Sunday after Labor Day, was originally presented by Marian McQuade, a mother and grandmother herself.
Marian's vision was one of family togetherness and legacy. She hoped that families would use the day to plan reunions and gatherings, so that elders could share wisdom and stories - and younger generations could show their appreciation and gratitude. The effort to keep the generations knitted together came as American families were more and more leaving behind the tradition of multi-generational living. It is in the spirit of love, gratitude and family that Casas Adobes Flowers Shop celebrates this month! Read More about Grandparents Day Bouquets and Gifts

Which Flowers to Send? The gladioli bloom is a traditional choice among funeral flowers.
