The fall season is one of extravagance - full of overflowing fields and abundant harvests. It is a season of indulgence, offering pumpkin spice lattes, hot apple cider, and pumpkin pie. And it is a season of colors, as the landscape begins to change its attire and show off its brilliance. At Casas Adobes Flower Shop, we are inspired by all of the beauty around us, and have created a fall floral collection that will infuse your home decor with the spirit of autumn.
Centerpieces are among the most popular of fall florals, and for good reason! These extravagant arrangements are the focal point of your table, adding color and style to an already-special meal. One of our favorite recommendations for your table is the Harvest Memories Bouquet, shown below, which captures all of the magnificence of the rich and fiery fall colors. It showcases red and orange roses as well as lilies nestled amongst lush greenery; while autumn berries are added for a beautiful seasonal effect. Read More about Fall Florals and Centerpieces »

Grandparents Day was established in 1978, when Congress agreed to recognize it officially. The day, observed on the first Sunday after Labor Day, was originally presented by Marian McQuade, a mother and grandmother herself.
Marian's vision was one of family togetherness and legacy. She hoped that families would use the day to plan reunions and gatherings, so that elders could share wisdom and stories - and younger generations could show their appreciation and gratitude. The effort to keep the generations knitted together came as American families were more and more leaving behind the tradition of multi-generational living. It is in the spirit of love, gratitude and family that Casas Adobes Flowers Shop celebrates this month! Read More about Grandparents Day Bouquets and Gifts »

Which Flowers to Send? The gladioli bloom is a traditional choice among funeral flowers. The name is derived from the legacy of the Roman gladiator, most likely because of the flower's elongated stem which resembles a sword. Gladioli have come to signify loyalty, the strength of character and moral integrity, and are considered especially meaningful for memorial services.
